Xhun Audio's "ResonHeart" is a physical modeling instrument for wind and other pneumatic instruments.
ResonHeart is an unprecedented experimental pneumatic instrument-based physical modeling simulation of acoustic instruments. Featuring a complex modal-based architecture, this original machine mimics the sounds of a variety of acoustic instrument families, including wind, membrane, chromatic percussion, ethnic lute and whistle, glass, cymbals and crash, vocal ensemble, choir, and more clearly constructed to mimic the sound of a variety of acoustic instrument families. or even entire sections of orchestral strings, generating highly unconventional organic timbres, evolving textures, and expressive motion pads.

Working on the principles of fluid dynamics, all components within ResonHeart are modeled after existing hardware (commercial devices such as air pumps, pneumatic valves, and metal resonators), designed to be potentially real replicable machines. In addition, the acoustics of the surrounding rooms have been carefully modeled to simulate a variety of spatial environments, from small rooms to large concert halls to stone-walled cathedrals. In addition, ResonHeart has a clean and intuitive interface that makes the sound design process simple and effective.

ResonHeart is built as a virtual instrument using physical modeling technology (ACS) and should be viewed as a naturally occurring acoustic machine consisting of clockwork components, air pumps, motors, pneumatic valves, and complex resonator blocks (one for each voice). Each resonator block consists of a set of 16 universal Helmholtz resonators (individually triggered and adjustable) arranged in a distinctive modal synthesis disposition. This specific design allows ResonHeart to truly mimic the distinctive sound of a variety of acoustic systems, including rigid-body or membrane-based percussion and cymbals. This is one of the most difficult things to simulate using physical modeling.
