Features

Future Audio Workshop "Sublab" is a 3-layer hybrid bass synthesizer. It has a synthesizer, a sampler, and a layer dedicated to harmonic sub-bass.
You also have a large number of samples, including an analog drum machine.
SubLab is packed with six special bass packs and 250 meticulously recorded kick samples from classic analog drum machines and modern modular systems. You can also drag and drop your own samples into the sampler; SubLab automatically detects the pitch of the samples to speed up your workflow. Create your own sample libraries and base packs.
The following are some of the best machines included in the collection

  • Roland TR-808
  • Roland TR-707
  • Waldorf Blofeld
  • Jomox MBase 11
  • MFB 522
  • Nord Lead
  • Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas
  • Befaco Kickall
  • Intellijel Dixie
  • Hexinverter BD9
  • Mutable Instruments Plaits
  • Dave Smith Tempest
  • Korg Volca Beats
  • Korg Volca Kick
  • Vermona Mono Lancet '15
The sampler allows you to load samples by drag-and-drop, as well as presets, etc.
Everything you need to create powerful, punchy sub-basses in minutes. Sample, layer, expand, and distort kicks to create high-impact subs. Simple mix workflow that sounds great on all sound systems.

Automatic key analysis when samples are loaded. Keys are also displayed so you can match the pitch to the key of the track with a single button press.

In the Synth layer, it is very convenient to be able to control Vol Filter Pitch all on one screen. The rise and release of the output sound can be grasped by moving the points. You can grab the point and adjust the curve.

And one of the most powerful features of this synth is the sub-bass oscillator. Using it, you can instantly change the familiar sound of the trap. An analyzer is also provided. It displays harmonics in real time. This is another good feature that is easy to imagine.

Our new psychoacoustic sub-bass oscillator. Get consistent, accurate, deep subs while playing bass notes. Newly invented and only available in SubLab.
A simple mixer allows you to adjust the volume of these three layers. Effects include distortion, comp, etc. I think this is standard.

Evaluation

The fact that there are a lot of 808 basses in this package makes me think of trap and other genres, but in fact, I think it would be suitable for hard electronic music as well. It can also be used for EDM, so it can be used for dancehall electronic music in general. The sound is deep and flashy, perhaps due to the sub-bass oscillator, which is the main feature.

Above all, it is very convenient that filter, pitch, and ADSR curves can be set simultaneously on a single screen, making it easy to create the sound you want. The meters are well prepared, so you can check each one as you create. Another very good point about this plug-in is that it has an analyzer with a lot of information, so the direction of the sound is not blurred.

In a word, this synthesizer is a synthesizer that specializes in creating strong basses. There are no modulations, etc. provided, but it is designed so that work that would normally take even more time to create can be edited intuitively according to the image. There is also a full range of presets, so those who want a strong bass quickly will love it. That said, it also allows for solid fine-tuning of the sound, so even those who are used to creating sounds will find it easy to use due to its very good operability.
In general, I can recommend it as a very good performer when creating a strong, modern bass that is well focused and cohesive. For more complex, gory basses, use more external effects.
I think this is a good synth that has more uses than you might think.
