Traditional anti-aliasing methods aimed at preventing high-frequency distortion rely on CPU-intensive oversampling. ADAA (Anti-Derivative Anti-Aliasing) is an audio processing technique developed by Native Instruments and originally used for waveshapers. Rather than relying on oversampling, ADAA uses advanced mathematical techniques to reduce aliasing without high CPU load. Cenozoix Compressor is the first compressor plug-in to feature ADAA.
Natural and responsive peak compression
Many compressors use static release times, allowing for either short or long transients, but not both. Cenozoix Compressor's Peak Crest feature dynamically adjusts the release time based on the transient characteristics of the input signal, providing natural and responsive control of dynamic peaks. This makes it ideal for dealing with complex signals such as vocals, guitars, drums, and stereo buses.
Precise control over the compression envelope
The Cenozoix Compressor plug-in features a peak detector for fast transient response and an RMS detector for smooth compression. By using these detectors in parallel, you can combine the best of both worlds to provide fast response and stable compression suitable for complex audio material.
