Each sample bank is meticulously crafted by DHPlugins, using a variety of hardware and software synthesizers, FX, and processing, then layered with HALO's built-in synthesizer, original filters, FX, and unique modulators to create complex, raw, high-quality, and playable sounds. With over 300 sample banks to choose from, a new sample and synth unison engine, 4 multi-filters, 3 modulators, 4 FX units, 4 distortions, an audio FM engine, and an assignable arpeggiator, HALO is a unique sandbox for creativity. The random preset generator assigns localized random buttons to all modulators, wave shapers, sample banks, and the arpeggiator, making it easier than ever to create unique presets.
Arpeggiate Your Sounds
The assignable onboard arpeggiator elevates HALO-2 to a whole new dimension of audio creation. Featuring a random melody generator, simply select a scale and press the random button to easily create new, unique melodies, riffs, and progressions. The arpeggiator can be assigned to any combination of sampler, sub, or synth, allowing users to arpeggiate their own samples over a bed of synthesis, or vice versa. You can practically create an entire song with HALO-2 alone. The custom preset browser allows users to save and recall their own ARP settings, or browse the existing HALO library of over 30 presets and scales.
Sample FM, Distortion, Crush, Mangle! One of the most outstanding upgrades to HALO-2 is its sampler FM engine. This unique feature allows you to modulate your sample bank or user samples with a synth (square and triangle waves), a factory sample bank, or another user sample file, enabling subtle modulation or complete audio file mangling! Combined with four distortion modes (Warm Saturation, Amp Style Drive, Customizable Waveshaper, Crush), the improved sample bank editing including loop point manipulation, and the synth FM engine, HALO-2 takes core sound design possibilities to another level.
