If you’ve ever thought there must be an easier way, this is it. Baby Audio created a simple plugin that manages this entire process internally. "I Heart NY" hosts a parallel track within the plugin itself, providing instant, punchy "New York-style" compression on demand—no extra routing required.
The SPANK knob might look innocent on the surface, but it controls a sophisticated algorithm designed to energize any sound. It combines high-ratio compression, a transient-friendly envelope, and subtle EQ—along with a low-end preservation filter applied to the internal detection signal—to create a richer sound.
