Named after a galaxy 2.5 million light-years away, this analog synth is a masterpiece of innovation, iconic design, and functionality. Born in 2000, this "monster" stunned the world with its use of ASICs, redefining the potential of analog poly-synths through features like 16 voices (each with dual oscillators and dual filters) and 16-part multitimbrality. A dream machine for sound designers, the original hardware offered cross-modulation and ring modulation, SEM- and Ladder-style filters per voice, numerous LFOs, highly flexible envelopes, a powerful modulation matrix, built-in effects, and a vast array of knobs; it remains a powerful, highly capable instrument that was truly ahead of its time.




Mission 6 covers a wide sonic palette—from 80s pop and modern genres to hip-hop and film scores—making it easy to find the exact sound you need. It features 400 layers created from 33,000 samples recorded directly from the hardware, categorized into basses, keyboards, plucks, strings, poly-synths, leads, vocals, and more. As always, these layers have been combined to create over 340 unique Mission 6 presets. The factory sounds are designed to be both immediately usable and a guide for sound design; thanks to clear, excellent synth parameters, they are fully customizable, allowing users to craft their own original sounds.
