Direct from the heart of Jamaica's most prolific musical community, Kingston's Waterhouse, AudioThing proudly introduces the Alborosie Dub StationAudioThing is proud to announce that the legendary Osbourne Ruddock "KingTubby" ( producer, studio engineer, and pioneer of the golden age of dub reggae) owned, modified, and used original filters, echoes, and spring reverbs that were sampled, analyzed, and carefully recreated. 70's - from Alborogy's personal collection of vintage gear.
Directly from Federal Studios, then from King Tubby Studios in Waterhouse Kingston, MCI 2-track tapes were used to record and create echo effects for the entire reggae classic and most of the popular Tubby's instrumental dub mixes.
SPRING BLING: A modified Fairchild Spring Reverb used on most classic records and dub mixes recorded and produced by the maestro himself, directly from King Tubby's Studio at Waterhouse Kingston.
FILTER MAN: Modeled after Tubby's so-called "Big Knob". It is a passive high-pass filter with 11 frequency steps from 70 Hz to 7.5 KHz. This filter defined the sound of the entire "roots" region of Jamaican music.
