Venomode "Phrasebox" is the ultimate composition tool that evolved from the arpeggiator by allowing you to turn chords into any phrase. It is a very popular plug-in on the market.
It turns simple chord sequences into expressive melody lines and musical phrases. Simply design a phrase in the piano roll and Phrasebox will play the pattern using the notes you enter.
You have complete control over how the phrase is played back. Select notes in pitch order or use the special selector (loudest/quietest or first played/last played, etc.). Phrases are played back with sample precision timing.
You can create note values, velocities, and other details that are not possible with conventional arpeggiators.
An automatic phrase generation tool is also available.
DAW-like Control
Phrasebox differs from traditional step sequencers and arpeggiators in that you have complete control over the timing and length of notes, just as you would on a DAW. In addition to velocity control, you can also adjust the transpose of each note and select random chances for the note to play.
If the transposition fits between the notes of a scale, you can enable the "Lock to Key" feature to ensure that the riff is always in tune.
