Chocolate Audio "Glissando Harps", the ultimate harp library with a total capacity of 54 GB recorded in 8 microphone positions, is 77% off and the lowest price of $39! It contains two types of harps: glissando concert harp (CGH) and glissando orchestral harp. Total capacity when uncompressed is a whopping 54 GB.
ChocolateAudio's GlissandoHarps includes two complete and flexible classical harps with different microphone sets and dedicated Glissando Engine, allowing real-time playback of any glissando without pre-recorded glissandos! The The user interface is thought to be easy and quick to learn and use, while featuring power user tools that you will love to tweak when operating a deeply sampled instrument.
Infinite Glissandos - Sampled Harp's First ProductThe very reason we decided to start sampling concert harps in 2012 was to achieve a flexibility unknown in sampled harps. The sound of the harp is undoubtedly related to the glissando technique. In the glissando technique, the harpist traces the strings with his fingers to create a dreamy, catchy sound that is unique to the instrument. With our glissando engine, glissandos can be played at any speed, in any tonal center, and in any setting that is playable on a real harp.
Using the glissando mode, only the white keys remain (since the harp has seven strings per octave), and the tuning of each string is changed by switching the pedal position via MIDI or GUI. A selection of the most commonly used tunings has been created in the right-hand section to help you quickly get the glissando you need.
Speed and Intensity
Turn on glissando mode, play the start note, then play the end note. The glissando starts immediately; press D#0 to stop or C#0 to exit glissando mode The time difference between the two notes tells the engine the speed of the glissando. The relative velocities are used to create the final crescendo and decrescendo.
