Steinway Model B Grand Piano Power Station New England - Waterford, Connecticut
The Steinway B is one of the most recorded pianos in history and is widely considered the ideal studio piano. Its unique balance of size and power makes it an extremely versatile instrument for all styles of music. This particular instrument was carefully selected and prepared at our factory in Astoria, New York, with the kind cooperation of Steinway & Sons®.
Prior to recording, all pianos were tuned, voiced, and tuned on-site by Steinway concert technicians before being carefully sampled by Synthogy's team of experts. The recording session took place in the classically tuned live room at Power Station NE, an acoustic replica of the famous Power Station New York.
Bösendorfer 225 Grand Piano Firehouse Recording Studios - Pasadena, California
The Bösendorfer 225 Grand Piano holds a prominent place in the history of recorded music with its deeply resonant tone and balance in all registers. Slightly longer than most studio grands at 7 feet 4 inches with four additional low keys, it has been used on numerous Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated recordings. art Studio A at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena captured its sublime sound in this venerable piano room.
