SAMPLESON specializes in spectral modeling. Unlike typical physical modeling, it analyzes and models the acoustic spectrum of real instruments. A piano instrument that looks quite good.
MetaPiano is the world's first spectral model grand piano. It was built on real sound captures from a Japanese concert grand piano and meticulously reconstructed with mathematical algorithms. It is so realistic that it is hard to believe it is a real instrument. And it's so lightweight, you can send it by email:)MetaPiano was created based on spectral modeling, a technique that delivers realistic sounds because it is based on real samples, not a hypothetical approach like physical modeling.
It sounds real because it is real: sounds are created just as they would be in nature (simple sine waves stacked on top of each other). This is why it feels organic and warm: a group of over 64 timbre components (release, hammer, key noise, main tone, resonance, etc.) are mapped and re-created using spectral modeling to create a realistic and warm sound in just 60 MB. The result is a realistic, warm sound in only 60 MB, archived and with very low CPU usage. .
It is amazing how the bass, which is generally considered difficult to reproduce, sounds quite realistic.
Perfect Attenuation (no loops)
Thanks to the spectral engine, MetaPiano reproduces the full length of the actual note without loops. In the lower registers, more than a minute of decay can be heard.
No Speed Switching
MetaPiano is built on the full dynamics of real instruments. There are no layers, regions, or anything else that older sampling techniques require, so there is no velocity switching.
