Ivory II Grand Pianos is a piano library containing the sounds of three pianos: a Stanway D9 Concert Grand, a Bösendorfer 290 Imperial Grand, and a Yamaha C7 Grand.
Joe Ieraldi and George Taylor have been pursuing piano sound sources since their days at Kurzweil. Ivory II is the result of five years of work since the original Ivory was released, and features string resonance, refined samples with up to 18 velocity layers, and half-pedal support. Ivory Grand Pianos II is a virtual grand piano instrument with over 77 GB of samples, including all 88 keys with up to 10 dynamic levels (some with extended low frequency parts up to an octave! (including one with an extended low-frequency section of one octave!) Each sample uses no looping at all. Each sample is recorded in 32-bit with no loops, all natural decay to silence, and perfect stereo phase.
